Former Alaska Governor Tony Knowles has endorsed Barack Obama:
With virtually all political attention focused this week on one cold and snowy state (Iowa), the campaign for Sen. Barack Obama turned its attention very briefly to another cold and sometimes snowy place.
Yes, the Illinois Democrat has won the endorsement of former Alaska Gov. Tony Knowles, who spoke briefly to reporters on a conference call a few minutes ago.
Alaska will hold its Democratic presidential caucuses on Feb. 5, along with more than 20 other states that will hold contests on what is being called Tsunami Tuesday.
UPDATE: Here's another piece from the Anchorage Daily News, which notes that Obama is the only Democratic candidate with a staffed campaign office in Alaska.
