Clinton blocks out two minutes Jan. 2 for ‘closing argument’

DES MOINES – Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) will run a taped, two-minute ad the evening of Jan. 2, the night before the first-in-the-nation caucus, to deliver what her campaign is calling “her final closing argument.”
The campaign announced Thursday that the ad will run during every 6:00 p.m. CST newscast in Iowa. Clinton and her many surrogates, including her husband, are continuing to join her rivals in a full-on statewide blitz with the caucuses just a week away. Clinton remains locked in a three-way battle with Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) and former Sen. John Edwards (N.C.).
