Corzine says Hillary Clinton needs big win vs. Obama in Pa.

by The Associated Press

Gov. Jon Corzine today said Sen. Hillary Clinton needs a big win in Tuesday's Pennsylvania primary to remain a contender for the Democratic presidential nomination.

A loss in Pennsylvania would be a "door closer" for Clinton, Corzine said. The New York Senator needs to win the popular vote, Corzine said.

Clinton is in a tight race with Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, but Obama leads in delegates.

Corzine's comments came during an interview on MSNBC this morning.

Later today, he will attend on conference on global at Yale University.

Corzine hopes the event will bring new agreements to curb greenhouse gas emissions. It comes a day after the governor's office released a proposed energy master plan that would consider building a nuclear plant in New Jersey.
