Winning the Jewish vote


Gallup shows the limits of Obama's problem with Jewish voters: He beats McCain 61% to 32% among Jewish voters.

That's not quite as well as Democrats typically do with Jewish voters -- they're Mondale-Dukakis numbers, not Clinton-Gore numbers -- but it's not the kind of massive reversal some Democrats fear.

And part of the story may be more about partisan shifts and about McCain's appeal than about Obama: Clinton beats McCain just 66% to 27% -- worse than Kerry did against Bush.
