Both the Q-poll and the Big 10 Battleground poll out this morning have bad news for McCain in Ohio. Take a good look at Indiana and Ohio (this is a "registered voters and those likely to register to vote" poll). [Prof Franklin says: "Several of our states have election day registration, so we have to ask. It is a very small percentage who say they will register still."]
From the Big 10:
The Big 10 also had a national sample showing Obama up 9, 52-43 (MoE 3.1)
The last poll was a month ago, showing a much tighter race (h/t AlexTFB for the graphic.)
Indiana MoE +/- 4.2
Obama 51 (43)
McCain 41 (43)
Ohio MoE +/- 4.2
Obama 53 (46)
McCain 41 (45)
Pennsylvania MoE +/- 4.2
Obama 52 (45)
McCain 41 (45)
For previous data on the other states, check pollster.com for each state.
Separately from the Q-poll:
Florida MoE +/- 2.6
Obama 49 (51)
McCain 44 (43)
Ohio MoE +/- 2.7
Obama 52 (50)
McCain 38 (42)
Pennsylvania MoE +/- 2.6
Obama 53 (54)
McCain 40 (39)
President George W. Bush's approval ratings are:
- 27 - 66 percent in Florida
- 22 - 72 percent in Ohio
- 21 - 73 percent in Pennsylvania
