Clinton Lawsuit Threat Is to Stop Texas Caucus Results Reporting

Al Giordano,The Field

In a conference call that began around 9:10 a.m. and just ended, Obama campaign manager David Plouffe explained the Texas Democratic Party’s letter of yesterday as being a response to lawsuit threats by the Clinton campaign:

“They do not want the caucus results reported Tuesday night. The thought of timely reporting of those results is causing them deep anxiety.”

Imagine that: The legal threats are about whether the people know, or not, the results of their own voting at caucuses. Well, at least we know what the threats are about now.

“To suggest that you have trouble with the results of Texas caucuses being reported, that’s over 60 delegates,” Plouffe said, “it’s a big part of the picture that night. They need to win Texas and Ohio by at least ten points and they are going to fail by that measure.”

Amazing.
